Not a News site
Lots of news has been released lately for yugioh.
While we want to bring you the latest and greatest news, Unimetagame will not be spamming it's site with news. Whatever news is most crucial though, that we feel might be missed by the community, will be posted, so as to make sure everyone in the community knows it.
Examples of news items not posted include the release dates of Crimson Crisis, the new Spellcaster starter deck release, the championship pack 8 release, and a few other items that are less crucial or easy to find(commonly known).

The Gold Series Gold
A lot of decks that might not have had a chance will probably be in contention thanks to the Sarcophagus. These might be decks that need a specific card to weave their way to a win and because of the Sarcophagus they'll be able to have some outs just in case they miss the card they need.
I personally can't think of any decks that would break down that bad, to require a Sarcophagus, but they might now be created just because of the mass printing of this card.
You can watch that 1,000 dollar price tag fall now though:
As you can see above, those are the only available sarcophagus' on ebay. (As of the day this was posted)
They are all buy it nows and the cheapest one is going for $975.
If i were those sellers, I'd be begging right now for someone to buy my lot because I know it will be a lot easier to get that card at the end of April; not to mention a lot cheaper as well.

DAD
The dark armed dragon is a good selling point too. It's a good way for Konami to use the rest of DAD's selling power while it lasts and squeeze the money out of whatever duelists still want it.
For most duelists though I don't see it as a must buy, but it still will be a great pull.
~~~~~~~~
Solemn
If you're not going for the OTK or your opponents won't fizzle out because of a solemn, then this card becomes less playable.
Thanks to the anti OTK banlist, solemn shouldn't see much play anymore. I've seen a lot of duelists loosing with good decks.
It was because they refused to remove their solemns and used them during the end of the game as a last ditch effort. They found out that the solemn didn't stall the game and eventually lead to their defeat, knowing that a simple swords of revealing light would have done a better job at probably getting the win.
~~~~~~~~
Poor man's Wing Blast
I like compulsory evacuation device better.
It's just a personal preferance, and I raved about it before it got all hyped up.
Play wing blast if you like it, but again it's not my personal playstyle. I like discarding for lightning vortex and Divine wrath more.
~~~~~~~~
Yugioh Players Integrity(Compulsory)
I remember distinctly telling a person to play compulsory in their deck, and he screamed about how useless he thought it was. Then he went on metagame, read the hype about it, and started teching it.
I haven't let that moment down btw, and continue to mess with him about it ever since. It's, as he said, a "horrible minus" one day and a staple in his deck the next?
Integrity is fast fading in yugioh.
Luckily with the lack of deck lists, people will be able to get more creative in this new metagame, and actually start thinking about their decks for once.
Then again... there are always those that join the bandwagon and play Glads with Beasts or variations of Twilight....
Anyways, enjoy the new Gold Series and lets hope they can lower the price down now that UDE isn't getting a cut :D
