Invitation to the Yugioh Community

A post I made on Pojo about the state of the yugioh community and metagame.com.

It was right before the metagame site went down and I thought it was a good idea to extend this invitation to everyone in the yugioh community and let non pojo users read it as well:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UniMetagame
Since October of last year another site has been up, providing coverage of the metagame.
It's a new feel, a new focus, and a new outlook on the metagame.
It won't restart the net decking craze though, there are currently no plans to post deck lists.
But it will give people ideas on what to build, and spotlights on some cards they probably should be using but haven't though of.
Metagame.com
If anyone has been watching that site for the past 2 months, you'll notice there are absolutely no articles, by anyone, about yugioh, in a long while.
The last article published was back in January and it doesn't even show up on the front page because of all of those weird announcements they have up.
They mention Huntik, a darkmoon faire, huntik, something about stormwind city(wow tcg), and more huntik...
All in their yugioh section...?
(Btw i've noticed very slow load times on their site lately, something that wasn't an issue at all a few months ago)
Payed Promotion
I can see why they do it, but I don't have to approve of it.
They're probably doing it to abuse their yugioh visitors. They know they have a strong yugioh base that visit their site so they post random announcements that have nothing to do with yugioh.
It's all just to get those extra views squeezed out of their yugioh visitors and they are probably being payed to do it as well.
The new metagame
Unimetagame.com was started back in October of last year as a retreat for players to read about new decks and new tech cards that weren't being spoken about.
Over the next few weeks, it's being revamped to take control of the crowd that has been let down by metagame.com and it'll continue trying to foster innovation.
Metagame, before it's dying days, had become something it's former self would be ashamed of: "A shallow discussion pool where the topic was anything that had to do with tier one decks"
The early metagame.com site had so much analysis, there wasn't enough room for just tier one decks, but the site we have now is a shadow of it's former self.
A need being met
Just like businesses need regulations and conferences to discuss their inner mechanics and try and make the process more efficient, so too do yugioh players when it comes to articles that pertain to their metagame.
I invite all yugioh players to join that discussion and become a part of it on unimetagame.com.
Check it out and let me know how we can make it better, for the whole community.
