Konami Organized Play

(Yugioh is a priority for Konami and they're forking over the cash to prove it)

People were expecting to wait months for organized play to get kicking again under Konami's flag. But what seemed like months of waiting might be turning into weeks.

Konami recently listed a number of jobs specifically for their card game and specifically in North America.

What does one of these available jobs entail?

Manager, Demo Team and Judges (Card Business)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Create and maintain a multi-level Judge Certification and demo team program for Konami Card Business IPs.
* Process applications and administer judge and demo tests.
* Create and maintain a Judge and Demo Team Training Manual.
* Train new judges and volunteers based on the Judge and Demo Training Manual.
* Create and maintain a list of active volunteers to judge and demo at organized play events.
* Communicate with all level judges and act as "official voice of KDE" regarding rulings.
* Work with R&D and Konami Digital Entertainment, Co. Ltd. to resolve any rulings issues.

They haven't dropped the ball and it seems like they have every intention of supporting this huge yugioh behemoth.

This is a sure sign that Konami wants to seriously take into consideration their Yugioh game and make the transition away from UDE as painless as possible.

Not only are they hiring a Judges manager of sorts but they are also hiring:

• 1) Logistics Coordinator (Card Business)
• 2) National Sales Manager (Card Business)
• 3) Regional Sales Manager, East (Card Business)
• 4) Regional Sales Manager, West (Card Business)
• 5) Associate Marketing Manager (Card Business)
• 6) Lead R & D (Card Business)
• 7) Graphic Designer (Card Business)
• 8) Translator (Card Business)

Remember that all above positions are specifically going to their card business, and in this case most likely yugioh.
