Metagame.com / Faq

If you go on metagame's site right now, you'll find it redirects you to a site that looks exactly like UDE's.

We at Unimetagame are as clueless as everyone else is. We don't know if UDE always owned metagame.com or if it was a recent takeover.

Either way, everyone here is gearing up to support the Yugioh community, by providing new and constant analysis of our metagame with exclusive coverage for the innovators of the game.

(Update: It has been confirmed that Metagame was always owned by UDE. It also explains their biased analysis of the Konami takeover. )

FAQ

Just to clear up a few questions we are consistently getting:

1) Is this Metagame.com, just moved to a new domain with a new look and the same writers?

I try to be pretty G rated when it comes to commentary, but to be blunt, Hell no. lol :D

Most of our team is within driving range of one another and is based in the Southern California area.

No one affiliated with Metagame.com, UDE, or Konami works here or gives input.

2) What's with the Uni/ Unique thing?

The whole purpose of the site was to look at the metagame from a new angle, rather than bringing up the same boring topics over and over again.

The site's aim is innovation and creativity. For a more detailed look at our goals, read our Decleration of Independance.

3) Will UniMetagame be posting deck lists?

It took a lot of discussion and thought but eventually the UniMetagame team came to the consensus that we will not be posting deck lists.

If you read our Deceleration of Independence you know that we try to foster innovation. We came to the agreement that making deck lists available on our site, and thus easier to find, would remove the innovation that we were trying to create. It was simply counter productive.

If you want deck lists, there are many other sites that will cater to you.

4) Are you a News Site? (How much news will UniMetagame report?)

Lots of news has been released lately for yugioh.

While we want to bring you the latest and greatest news, Unimetagame will not be spamming it's site with news. Whatever news is most crucial though, that we feel might be missed by the community, will be posted, so as to make sure everyone in the community knows it.

Examples of news items not posted include the release dates of Crimson Crisis, the new Spellcaster starter deck release, the championship pack 8 release, and a few other items that are less crucial or easy to find(commonly known).

5) Why be creative, Why not play the decks that are the most efficient at winning?

Ah yes, and there lies our Philosophy:

The innovators don't need to win, they play to have fun, and winning is icing on the cake. You try to get your deck to be the best it can be and a lot of times it reaches it's maximum potential, at which time you make another.

There are 2 reasons why people(like Jerome McHale) succumb to the pressures of net decking and eventually choose to play the best decks:

1) They want to win too bad and thus have no life.

2) They are too lazy to come up with a deck of their own that wins a good amount of the time.

In both cases UniMetagame pities those players.

They want to win so bad they sell out their integrity, choosing the obvious most efficient decks yugioh has to offer.

Not to mention spending exorbitant amounts on those cards, which means you sacrifice real world happiness for something shallow and synthetic.

The innovators don't need to win the highest amount of times possible. We can live quite contently winning a good amount of the time with decks we've innovated with and created.

6) How can we contact you all / What's the sites email?
