Syndicated Writers and Our New Forums

As you noticed in the previous article, UniMetagame has started to include new content by it's guest writers and syndicated writers.

Syndicated vs Guest

There remains one small difference between a guest writer and a syndicated one. You can look forward to continuously seeing articles by syndicated writers, as they are part of the UniMetagame writing team and will continue to deliver content.

As for the guest writers though, they may only write once or twice, because there is no agreement as to how much of their work is published.

Most syndicated writers will be tested as guest writers and if their material stands the test of time and the community they can be upgraded to a syndicated writer whose material is constantly published.

Any article missing the Syndicated Writer emblem(Shown at the top of the last article) is an article written by the owner of the site and the main content producer.

It's important to get lots of different insights though and inputs by others. That's exactly what the syndicated writers will be doing. They will speak about specific topics and use their experience and wisdom to tell their specific tale of the metagame. They'll each provide their own angles and card choices that will separate them from the other writers.

The writing positions will be limited and there remains two introductory positions open to the community. More information about applying is mentioned on the main page of the site, on the right bar.

The Writers

Each writer will be represented by either their real world name or a nickname. Sometimes these nicknames might refer to the author's forum i.d and other times it may be unrelated all together.

To contact each writer, simply go to our new forums (forum.unimetagame.com) and pm them. All input is welcome and there will be a section where you can critique their articles.

Interaction

We encourage lots of interaction here at UniMetagame, so you'll have full access to each and every one of our content producers, including myself, on our new forums.

This is a community after all and simply writing articles without interacting with the community is creating a bully pulpit. At the end of the day it leads to a group of people dictating the metagame and we're completely against that here.

There will be no dictating, there will be no forced use of certain cards, and there will be no macho tone on our site. Experience does not mean perfection and with the communities help, we can pool our experience and knowledge together to make a truly diverse and stronger Yugioh Community. I personally started playing this game from the very first pack (LOB) but that does not mean my experience makes me more right than someone else who started playing 2 years ago. My opinions and our writers opinions count the same as everyone else's.

Other sites may have an elitist or macho mentality about their writers and their opinions, but that will not happen here, period. Other sites can pretend to have their perfect writers but the community will now start to expose them as the arrogant people they are and bring down their perfect little worlds.

Our New Forums


As mentioned above UniMetagame is officially unveiling it's forums to the community today. We consider it as opening our doors to the community at large. It will allow input on all sides and remove the bully mentality that the previous Yugioh Trading Card Game had.

Your voice will be heard and the mistakes of a small group of writers will be magnified to the community at large. This competition and discussion creates diversity and fosters innovation. It removes inefficient cards and enhances lesser known ones.

Instant News Area

For those of you keeping up to date with the front page of the site, you'll notice the new Instant News section of the site, at the bottom right.

It's in place to give you instant news from our front desk, without wasting space posting a new article for every little thing.

A Big Thank you to the Community

Everyone at UniMetagame hopes you enjoyed the latest improvements to our site and thanks you for joining us along the way.

The site has been growing enormously these past few weeks and we've been changing our focus to help cater to the community at large.

A need is slowly starting to be met and the Yugioh community can finally start getting coverage on the unique metagame.

They can peer into the eyes of the innovators and into some of the darker corners of yugioh, exposing the hidden gems that lay in wait.
