I've got three Monster Reborns, and I have a tiny budget.

Secondly, if they're that great and if they're this widely available, what's the harm in letting it off the ban list once in a while? Everybody gets to use it, and the broken effect can lead to some interesting twists in a duel.

Thirdly, it is a bit of a pity that Konami should print cards to be used for a while and then banned as the game develops. They're only taking one broken card off the ban list once in a while. It adds a bit of spice to the game, knowing that the card's there and has the potential to turn the entire game around.

I personally like it when some of these old cards get a chance to be used in an advanced format deck.

Post got too big.

Get rid of these and Future Fusion and Overload Fusion can go to 3, along with Metamophosis.

Finally, Dark Strike Fighter is the new Ring of Destruction, except on crack. He can burn for an unlimited amount of damage and turns every monster you control into a giant threat, in addition to the ATK and effect(s) they have. If you have DSF and a 1600 4-star (spent Breaker?), you can attack for 4200 and launch for 2200. No card in the game should be able to inflict 6400 damage in one turn. The Dark Creator only fuels his fire. Launch everything, then bring it back with TDC and do another 3000. Plus, you can make DSF out of any monsters you want! It's not even exclusive to machines, and doesn't even have to attack!It's the most broken monster in the game right now, and one of the most broken in the history of the game. Combining 2600 ATK with huge burn effects at no real cost is bad ygos.

Effect: Best in the game
Activation: Add to 7
Verdict: BROKEN

Happy now? They keep those cards around because they aren't inherently broken; in other words, by themselves they're mediocre at best. These cards fall along the lines that they're only as broken as the Decks they're in. While CCV has a low cost for a potentially game-breaking effect, it's basically a guessing game. 9 times out of 10, if someone CCVs me, I don't get hit, and I run BW. That's saying something."

Crush Card Virus is a card with a pathetically easy activation requirement and is chainable to any sort of pressure whatsoever. In return, you get a DARK monster in your graveyard (often useful), and get to wipe out any strong monster(s) your opponent comes across. This can easily give you a +2 or +3, as well as knowledge of their entire hand. I say it's worse than Raigeki and Delinquent. Get hit with Raigeki? Still got your hand. Get Duo-d? Still got your field. CCV hits everything and leaves you with nothing but weaklings.

Effect: Amazing
Activation: Easy
Verdict: BROKEN

Monster Reborn is a card that Konami just likes to keep legal because they want some sort of "generic revival" card in the game. This gets you any monster you want (apart from nomis) and doesn't take up your Normal Summon. It's one of those "stick into every damn deck" cards that provides an unfair advantage to the player that draws it first. It's like Pot of Greed, even though it's technically a 1:1. However, it's dangerous and should be banned.

Effect: Gamebreaking
Activation: No cost
Verdict: BROKEN

Barin Control is officially Change of Heart. It gets you a free monster (800 LP is nothing) and you can do whatever the hell you want with it. Attack, tribute, synchro, whatever. With the fall of setting monsters, taking away an opponent's monster and using it is an automatic +1 for the turn, and it lets you combo into other stuff as you please. It's dangerous enough to turn the tide of any duel.

Effect: Amazing
Activation: Easy
Verdict: BROKEN

Dark Armed Dragon...really needs no explaining. He's an automatic +3 when uncountered, and will attack for 2800 damage without wasting your Normal Summon. Even if you say you can Solemn him, Oppress him, or Divine Wrath him, remember that those cards will also stop a certain Chaos Emperor Dragon. Doesn't make the card any less broken. Listing counters does nothing; you have to evaluate an uncountered card.

Effect: Amazing
Activation: Easy
Verdict: BROKEN

Judgment Dragon...again, when uncountered, you pay 1000 LP to kill every other card on the field. Remember how Demise was really good back in the day? JD has half the cost and more ATK power. Pay 1000, summon, hit for 3000+? Yes plz. Oh, and you can nuke as much as you want. It's the second-most broken monster in the game right now.

Effect: Godly
Activation: Almost none
Verdict: BROKEN

Card of Safe Return wouldn't be as bad if it was a once per turn thing. At least there wouldn't be any loops existing. CoSR is the sole reason that loops like Gigaplant, Lumina, and Manticore even exist, and those aren't helping the game at all. A card that gives you massive advantage and lets you use revival for no cost at all cannot be considered balanced. With all the ways to summon from the graveyard, this card can be splashed into almost any deck and give you an overall +1 for using it just twice.

Effect: Amazing
Activation: No cost
Verdict: BROKEN

Reply to previous

I mean, you claimed that CCV is only broken because it's an expensive card to obtain, which is about as untrue as you can get. You say it's only truly devastating on the first turn or after someone over commits... but it hits cards in hand anyways and lets you SEE everything that's left!

As for your post being incoherent... well, there's the fact that point 2 claims that you've been trying to get CCV for years unsuccessfully and later one that says you've got two! Are those supposed to be things that other people have said? Because you presented them in the exact same way that you present everything else: in bullet points with various lines separating paragraphs. It's impossible to tell where one person's thought ends and another begins. Get a new format, use names of the people you quote if you indeed quote them, and please, when you analyze something, do it right. Don't just sensationalize.

As for your comments to the other guy above... he's actually right. Mass release is the first step to a broken card being banned. Remember Cyber-Stein? As for people who shelled out for it being happy... well, if you actually realized how damaging CCV is to the game, you'd realize that *everyone* wants it banned. Sure, people are more than willing to use their $200 investment to gain a huge advantage over the people who haven't got it, but that doesn't mean they have to like it. I sure don't.

CCV is one of the most creativity hampering cards ever created. Surely you can at least see that. Just because it combos well with Cyberdarks doesn't mean that it's going to diversify squat. The way to create more competitive decks isn't to give everyone a Crush Card Virus. That way lies madness and people winning for no good reason even more than they do now.

Reply to the person who thinks his post will be de...

Reply to the person who thinks his post will be deleted.

First off, why would i ever delete the sheer amount of ignorance you typed there?

~~~~~~~~
You believe:
1) My article is "incoherent" and "illegible".
You gave no examples of the above, and from your tone it seems you just hate the site for no apparent reason. Just continue making false statements and pretend we'll suddenly believe them. That stopped working when Bush left office.
Btw how can the article be illegible? It's typed... and you read it on a web site.
I'd have to hand write it horribly on a napkin for you not to be able to read it. If text on a web site isn't legible for you, I'd like to see your hand writing.
What makes more sense is you probably just misused the word trying to act smarter than you are. Good Job. :)
~~~~~~~~

You also believe:

2) A lot of Crush Card owners are happy Crush is being Mass printed so that they can see the card banned.

So people who spent 200 plus dollars on a card want it banned so they can lose their investment and finally play the game without a card they themselves spent $200 buying?

That's idiotic because it has already been proven wrong by history.

~~~~~~~~~~
A history lesson for you:
The OCG has had the Crush Card for YEARS(Almost a Decade). They obtained it in 2 STRUCTURE decks and a Premium pack. Not to mention a number of other easy ways to get it like purchasing a game.
Yet even though they've had this card, FOR YEARS, they have never banned it.
So your assumption that it's mass production will get it banned, has been proven wrong.
All of your assumptions and your attacks were ill prepared and ignorant.
~~~~~~~~~~

The sad thing is why am I actually trying to give anything you said any merit at all?

~~~~~~~~~
People who bought a crush are really happy it's being mass produced.... because it'll get automatically banned?
Yea... and the Easter bunny exists as well.
Grow up, make well formed arguments that are supported, and learn what the word "illegible" means.
The card should be banned regardless of it's degre...
The card should be banned regardless of it's degree of release. balance it out, but that's beside the point.
The point I'll make is that Konami, while pleasing the "budget" players in the game, at the same time turns away the competitive players that are dedicated enough to go after a CCV. It's been happening for quite some time now, with cards like Heraklinos, Dark Armed, and Necroface. This is just another move by Konami to try and get more casual players at the expense of dedicated ones.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a reprint of Crush, but they shouldn't be reprinting ti as a silver rare.
